Raymond W.  Mihlbauer
Raymond W. Mihlbauer, age 89, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the Sauk County Health Care Center. He was born on November 11, 1928, in LaValle, Wisconsin, the son of William and Elizabeth (Leicher) Mihlbauer. He graduated from Wonewoc High School and later the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He met and married the love of his life, Nora J. Doyle. They were united in marriage in July of 1952, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg. Ray proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 21 years through which he and Nora lived in various places around the world. The Mihlbauers were blessed with six children. One of Ray’s greatest joys was coaching the kid’s athletic teams through their younger years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Ray was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg, Knights of Columbus and the LaValle American Legion Post #242.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Emery and Lenord Mihlbauer; and sisters, Emeline
Hamburg and Agnes Haberman.

Therese Mihlbauer, PhD of Fort Wayne, IN,
Ellen (Tim) Kress of Indianapolis, IN,
Mark Mihlbauer of Brandywine, MD,
Monica (Robert) Kruger of York, PA,
Lisa (William) Phillips of Salisbury, MD;
10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Raymond W. Mihlbauer will be conducted at 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg, with Father David Carrano officiating. Military Honors will follow the Mass at the church. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will take place in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
